Another day, another outfit planned around a new pair of shoes…! My mom actually didn’t like today’s outfir because it doesn’t match-match:
- dark brown wrap sweater (Gap outlet, ’05)
- light blue button down (Gap)
- brown tweed full/circle skirt (Target/Merona)
- gold double-chain watch
- new flats! like the ones below, but instead of solid gold, they’re green snake skin, with the gold link detailing – I LOVE! (Crown Vintage, from DSW this weekend; gift from Arthur!)
I personally liked the non-matchy, but still goes together-ness of the look…!

Ok I know this is really weird, but I found your site because I was just at DSW a few days ago and I found those amazing flats, but they didn’t have my size! So I figured ok I’ll just search for them on the internet and hopefully I’ll find them somewhere. But I seriously can’t find ANYTHING. I can’t find anything on Crown Vintage as a brand, I can’t find any CV products or information. It’s so bizarre and annoying. This blog entry is the only record I have of these shoes actually existing and me not just being crazy and making it up.
If there is ANY information you can give me about them that might help me actually find them I’d really appreciate it!
Thanks for writing, Nina – I am SO sorry, but I don’t know anything else about these shoes. I had to search ebay for just the pic of a comparable pair, and haven’t found anything else.
When I get home, I can check the box if I still have it, and let you know if I can turn up anything else. They really are great, and v. comfy.
The only other thing I can suggest is to ask DSW to check other stores for the shoes; even though they try to avoid doing so, THEY CAN, but you have to call the other store if they do have them, request that they be held for you, and then also pick them up.
Good luck!
Nina, I found this blog also because i’m trying to find something about crown vintage shoes… I don’t get it either, it’s like they don’t exist. I was also at DSW and i saw these amazing boots, but they didn’t have my size and I called other DSWs and they didn’t have them either. If you ever find anything on them, let me know too!!
More on Crown Vintage!
I contacted DSW about these shoes as well & they offered no information.
But – I suspect these are made by Jeffrey Campbell.

Sorry to respond on your post, but couldn’t find a way to respond to the other.
Thanks!
I found this blog post the same way Nina did. I bought a pair of super comfy Crown Vintage open toed slingbacks from DSW yesterday and I wanted to find out more about the brand. Maybe I’ll have to check my shoe box when I get home also.
If you find anything let me know- I love the shoes!
I too just bought a pair of Crown Vintage shoes at DSW and thought I would see what other types were available………. very odd that there does not seem to be a presence of a shoe line readily available.
I just saw another pair (really great gold lame!) of flats @ DSW by Crown Vintage, so I marched up to the sales woman and demanded some answers!
I kid, but IRL, I did check with the staff, only to find that nobody had a clue or could give me any information as to who would. The store staff, management included, has absolutely no information pertaining to any of the vendors housed within.
I will definitely let you know if I manage to dig anything up though!
I join your ranks, ladies, as a fan of Crown Vintage shoes who is exasperated after trying to find out more about this brand. I agree with Brie that it seems to be a secondary or derivative brand–has anyone ever bought them anywhere else besides DSW?! I just bought a great pair of laced ankle boots by “Crown Vintage” there, and I’ve never seen the brand anywhere else…I haven’t found the connection to Jeffrey Campbell, but I wouldn’t be surprised, because JC is one of my favorite brands, and these Crown Vintage boots fit much the same way…
